SSS Encouraging Words Blog Hop!

Hi guys!

Welcome to my stop on the Simon Says Stamp, Encouraging Words blog hop! I'm excited to share my projects with you today!

If you've been following along the hop, you should've come from my talented, good friend, Virginia's blog, Yes, Virginia. If you'd like to start at the beginning of the blog hop, head to the Simon Says Stamp blog.

And you should know, Simon is giving away a $25.00 gift card from each stop along the hop! Woop! They will choose the winners from the comment sections, so be sure to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can, for a better chance to win.

This release is so awesome! I mean, just look at what it's called. Encouragement is something everyone needs at different times in their lives and we should also GIVE more of it to each other, don't ya think? That's why this release is perfect for sending sweet, encouraging cards, notes and projects to friends, teachers, kids and anyone in your life who could use a kind word.

New release products (and other products used) are listed at the bottom of this post in the affiliate links.

As usual, When I'm sent some products to play with, I can't stop. Lol! So this post is filled with lots of fun stuff to inspire you.

For my first card, I wanted to used the adorable bear from the, Encouraging Animals set. He looks so cute holding that flower! The white embossed thank you is from the, Thank You Teacher set. Lots of fun with Distress Oxide Inks on this one!

There are so many other adorable critters in this set and I thought they'd be perfect to use on little notes to put into your kids' lunch box. How fun for them to sit down to eat lunch at school and find a sweet note from mom, dad or a sibling.

I colored two of them with Copics and the cat (my fave!) with Zig markers. Don't ya just love that cat's expression?! Makes me smile!

For this next one, I used an older stencil and Distress Oxide inks for a fun and happy background. That, Kindness Matters sentiment is a die and I love it! I used the inlaid die cutting technique, adhering the white letters back in place.

Yup, more Distress Oxides on the next card too. Can't help it - I love them! The, You're a Star die is fabulous! Makes it so easy to create a quick card. Just add some color underneath and you're good to go!

Okay, last one. If you're still here, thank you and I'm glad you made it to the end because this one is my favorite. I love the way it turned out! Have ya tried creating a galaxy background yet? This was my first one and I had a blast playing with the watercolors!

I was a bit nervous when I started painting the panel but it ended up looking so cool! And those planets and stars? They're from two different die sets called, Space Journey and Cosmic Trail. I cut all the pieces out of white cardstock and colored them with Copics. And the sentiment is from the, Thank You Teacher set.

That's it from me. The next and last stop on the hop is Anna-Karin's blog, Layers of Ink. She is an amazing artist so I know you'll enjoy her post.

There will be a second day of hopping too, so visit the Simon blog tomorrow for more inspiration and fun!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! ♥
